Busy Bees Tag of the Month Tutorial for May 2024 with G45 Let it Bee

Hello, Friends!  It’s only fitting that this Busy Bees Tag of the Month Tutorial is our project for May 2024!  Between baby showers, softball games, Button Farm projects, getting the garden in and just every day life, I feel like I’m as busy as a bee!  But it’s all good fun, and my heart is filled with joy.  With Mother’s Day on the horizon, I wanted to create a tag that could double as a gift.  I think you are going to enjoy seeing this whimsical creation come together.

Even Busy Bees Stop to Smell the Flowers

We’re going big today with a Tim Holtz Medium Etcetera Tag.  These 1/4″ thick tags measure 6 1/2″ x 12″, so there’s lots of room for adding lovely details.  I’ve dressed my tag up with Graphic 45 “Let it Bee” papers. Then I created a meadow full of cone flowers with Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Vignette Watering Can Dies. Reneabouquets Lemon Blossom Bees decided to join the party, too.  Of course, I found  way to add some vintage buttons from my stash to the design.

You’ll learn how to create the cute posies and the adorable watering can in the tutorial below.

Busy Bee Tea Party in a Box

You know what’s extra nice about these tags?  You can use the back side to create a lovely tea party in a box for mom!

The goodies include a darling little bookmark, note card with a fun surprise inside, Biscoff cookies, Lemon and Ginger Tea Bag, honey stick and a sweet vintage silver plate spoon.

This would be so cute as part of  your kitchen decor.  When the treats have been enjoyed, why not store recipe cards in the spacious box pocket?

Simple Stories Vintage Spring Garden ATC Box of Tags: March 2024 Tag of the Month Tutorial

Hello, Friends!  This Simple Stories Vintage Spring Garden ATC Box of Tags is our March 2024 Tag of the Month Tutorial.  It’s filled to the brim with pretty spring florals, cute garden images, and all kinds of shabby chic goodness.  If you love to decorate for spring, then I think you’re going to really enjoy making these mixed media tags.

This is a big project with 3 ATC tags, 2 Regular sized tags, a dressed up Graphic 45 ATC Box, and even a Tea Party in a Box tucked inside!  So it’s going to take us 2 days to complete this project.  Day One (today) will go over basic supplies and the process for making the tags.  On Day Two (Thursday) I will show you how to decorate the sweet little ATC box.

NOTE: If you don’t have an ATC box in your stash, you can use any sturdy lidded box that measures 4 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ x 2 3/8″.

Mixed Media ATC Tags

Graphic 45 ATC Boxes come with a set of 3 ATC tags.  These little tags make a BIG visual impact thanks to pretty floral ephemera pockets.  We’ll add some fun mixed media texture with ink, stencils, and crackle paste.  And, there are two side to these little tags, as you will see in the video tutorial below.

Vintage Garden Regular Tags

Dig in and create some sweet garden collages on the regular sized kraft tags.  Layer ephemera, flowers, stickers and enamel dots to create a springtime garden on paper.  These tags are double-sided as well, and I’ll show you how to do it all in the video tutorial below.

Even if  you don’t have all the supplies to make the ATC Box, this tag tutorial can be used to make lovely little gifts, place cards, or home decor for springtime gatherings.

I’ll be back on Thursday to share the tutorial for making the box.
