Quick and Easy Christmas Treat Tags Tutorial with Simple Stories Vintage Rustic Lodge

Hello, Friends!  I’m keeping the Christmas Crafting Train rolling with this Quick and Easy Christmas Treat Tags Tutorial.  This idea just popped into my head the other morning, and it was so fun, so cute and so fast to make that I just had to share the tutorial with you.  I think you’re gonna love it!

You can make a basket full of these little beauties and keep them by the front door to give as great last minute gifts.  They are also a perfect way to dress up a gift card or cash gift.  And, you can set up a crafty assembly line with your kids, grands or girlfriends to make it even more fun.  Let’s take a closer look, shall we?

Start with a Tag…

The base for this cute contraption is a Graphic 45 Square Kraft Tag.  One simple score line, a ribbon closure, and BOOM.  Instant tag pocket.  It’s almost too good to be true!

If one tag is good, two tags are better, right?  So I also dressed up a kraft ATC tag and tucked it into the bundle of goodies.  But you could easily package a single Christmas Cookie or other small treat.  Because there’s just one score line, flat treats work best.  But if you want more dimension, just add a 1/4″ score line!  Easy-peasy!

Holiday Table Place Cards?

If you’re looking for a fun way to dress up your holiday table, these little beauties would make great place cards, too.

Dig around in your stash of Christmas embellishments so you can dress your tag up in it’s holiday best!  This was perhaps my favorite part of the creative process.  I heat embossed some Reneabouquets snowflakes, spritzed faux snow on rusted metal trees, tied bows on mini candy canes, and strung jingle bells from a simple shoestring style bow.

Quick and Easy Christmas Treat Tags Tutorial Tips and Video

To make this project come together quickly, I suggest the following:

  • First, score all your tag bases.
  • Next, die cut all the tag liners using G45 Square and ATC tag dies.
  • Then adhere the liners to the tags.
  • Now, tie all your jingle bells and charms onto bits of string or twine.
  • Prep all your trees.
  • Heat emboss all your snowflakes.

Now you can create your piles and put each tag together quickly.  Cookie breaks are allowed, of course!

If you’d like to see  how easy it is to make these sweet treat holders, please enjoy this video on my YouTube station.

And that’s it for me, friends!  I’ll be back tomorrow with a project share.  Gotta keep that Christmas crafting mojo flowing, right?

Stamperia Sweety Treat Tags Creativity Kit Release for The Button Farm Club

Hello, Friends!  I have been patiently waiting to share this Stamperia Sweety Treat Tags Creativity Kit with you, and today is the big day!  Hooray!  This treat tag and interactive card kit is my late4st release for The Button Farm Club.  It’s been weeks and weeks since I started the plan for this kit.  But I finally was able to bring this idea to life and I am so happy with the way it turned out.

Sweety Treat Tag Kit by Kathy Clement Photo 01

The idea was to create a kit that would work for Valentine’s Day or Birthdays, or any occasion when you wanted to send someone a special little gift.  The kit contains 6 pocket-style treat tags dressed up for a party with Stamperia’s darling Sweety collection.

Each little treat tag holds one of my signature Tea Party in a Box surprises.  The kit comes with all the goodies for the box: individually wrapped tea bag, Ghirardelli Chocolate, Biscoff Cookies, Honey Stick, and a Mini Tasting Spoon.  We dress them up with designer papers, then add in a darling little tag and mini note card to sweeten the deal.

Can you see how much fun these will be to give as gifts?  Or, dress up the table setting at a tea party or birthday party?

Interactive Cards

The kit also contains supplies and instructions for these interactive cards.  Although these cards look complicated to make, the process is actually quite simple when broken down into steps.

This clever Kinetic Waterfall Card is a prime example: once you learn how simple it is to create the waterfall mechanism, you’ll be able to add a fun element to future cards.

The interior of all the cards is fully decorated, too.  Naturally, you’ll find a pocket, because that is how I roll!

This stack of teacups makes my tea loving heart happy all by itself.

But when you open the card to find this pop up feature…well, I’m over the moon!

The tutorials in this kit contain simple, sneaky tricks that I’ve learned in my card making journey.  These techniques will help you make the most of your papers, elevate your card designs and help you gain skill and confidence.

Fun fold cards are aptly named because they are so rewarding and enjoyable to make.

This fancy flap card is just loaded with sweet surprises!  You can see them all in the video tour below.
