Golden Wishes Christmas Tea Party in a Box

Golden Christmas Wishes Tea Party in a Box Folio with Graphic 45 Warm Wishes

Graphic 45 Warm Wishes, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Kathy Clement, Kathy by Design, Ribbon Club, Photo 01

Hello, Friends!  Today I’m sharing this Golden Christmas Wishes Tea Party in a Box card featuring Really Reasonable Ribbon trims.

Golden Wishes Tea Party in a Box Card Folio

The rich metallic shades of the November Ribbon Club Assortment are made to order for G45’s Warm Wishes papers.  I love the way the Old Gold Checkerboard Satin Ribbon brings out the gold hues.  It lends a rich, Old World botanical feel to the card design.

Always remember that layered ribbons make a great border!  Copper and Old Gold Confetti Dots Grosgrain Ribbon makes a holiday splash when layered over the Old Gold Checkerboard Satin Ribbon.  It’s such an easy technique, but it adds a real WOW factor to a project!

Warm Wishes Photo Folio

I love to make card folios during the holiday season.  They only take a little more time to make, and then your card doubles as a gift.  Copper Satin Ribbon with a Gold Metallic Edge makes a gorgeous ribbon closure on this 5 3/4″ pull out folio.

This feature makes the card folio a perfect gift for friends and family that live far away.

Take photos of your family, pets, Christmas tree or decorated home to share with the people you love.

Once you’ve lined the pages of your folio, place Scor-Tape on the back side, adhere the ribbon, wrap it around to the front and tie a bow.  Now you can attach the folio to the top half of  your card.

Tea Party in a Box

Take your card folio to the next level by adding a box pocket to the bottom half. (You can find tutorials on my YouTube channel.)  Then fill the pocket with all the little treats you would want at a tea party for one.

Dress up a Christmas tea bag, chocolate, cookies and honey stick with scraps of paper.  Tuck in a journal card so you can write in your own personal greeting.  Finish everything off with a little vintage demitasse spoon and an old fashioned peppermint stick.  You’ve just created a thoughtful and unique handmade gift that is sure to stand out in the crowd.

Warm Wishes Christmas Time Clock

Graphic 45 Warm Wishes Christmas Time Clock Shaker Card with Amazing Paper Grace DOM

Hello, Friends!  Today I have a festive Graphic 45 Winter Wishes Christmas Time Clock Shaker Card to share with you.  Our cute little alarm clock is made with the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Die of the Month for November 2022.

This vintage style alarm clock is one of Becca Feeken’s signature Pop Up Vignette Dies. But I opted to turn it into a shaker card frame.  Red and Gold foil papers, sequins, beads, and pearls add holiday sparkle and shine to my Christmas Time Clock.

Dress up your Christmas Time Clock with some beautiful Reneabouquets Velvet Poinsettias and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

A Peek Inside

Don’t  you just love it when a card doubles as a folio?  That’s why I added this 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ pull out folio to the top half of my card interior.  This is so easy to do, but adds that “extra special” element to your card.

  • First, cut one 8 1/2″ x 11″ panel of black cardstock in half at 4 1/4″.
  • Next, overlap the 4 1/4″ ends about 1/2″ and adhere to form one long paper panel.
  • Now, score every 5 1/2″ down the long side to this panel. You will have a slightly shorter panel on the end.  This will be the front of your pull out folio.
  • Then, accordion fold your scored panels so that the short panel lands on the top.
  • Next, adhere ribbon to the back side of the folio with Scor-Tape.
  • Now adhere the folio to the top half of your 6″ x 6″ card base.
  • Line the front card panel with  4″ x 5″ panels of patterned paper.  Then line the remaining panels with 4″ x 5 1/4″ rectangles of patterned paper.
  • Finally, fold and secure with a bow.

If you add a pocket to the bottom half of your card, you can tuck in a little tea sachet, honey stick, mini candy cane and a decorative sentiment panel.  The panel is covered with white cardstock on the back.  Now your card is a folio and a gift!

These card folios make great Christmas presents for friends and family.  Add photos of your tree, your decorated home, pets or family to create a unique and personal gift.

Spellbinders Warm Wishes Festive Food Truck with Photoplay Wonderful Christmas Collection

Hello, Friends!  How would you like to take this Warm Wishes Festive Food Truck on the road this Christmas?  We can sell hot chocolate, gingerbread men, snowman sugar cookies and pinwheel cookies to pay for the fuel as we roll merrily along on our journey!  Sound like fun?  Well, I did have fun making this adorable card with Spellbinders Warm Wishes Camper Life dies and Photo Play Paper’s Wonderful Christmas collection.

Dale and I are always imagining what we could sell if we had a food truck.  Pancakes?  Burgers? Tacos?  But I think this cute cookie-mobile is the best idea yet!  Who doesn’t love hot chocolate and tasty cookies?

Dressing this little camper die up with papers from A Wonderful Christmas was so much fun!  Since I had some leftover bits from the Winter Garden and Parcel and Post projects, I decided to add them into the mix.

A Peek Inside

To keep with the food truck theme, I created a little box pocket filled with tasty treats.

Salted Caramel Macchiato anyone?  That’s what wrapped up inside the largest “gift package.  Then I tucked in some tasty cookies and a peppermint stick, just for fun!  And how cute is this paper collection?   I can’t wait to play with again soon.

A Little Announcement

I have a busy week ahead, so I will not be able to do my usual Make & Take Tuesday or Throwback Thursday posts.

It’s birthday month in our family, and I have another family birthday party to plan and execute this weekend.  This one is for our sweet daughter in law who I love so very much!  We have mutually agreed that we would be friends even if she hadn’t married our eldest son!

On top of that, there’s a baby shower for our youngest son and his wife.  They are expecting their first baby this October, so I am very excited about this event!

If that’s not enough to keep me out of trouble, it’s also time for me to make another Button Farm Club kit.

How I’m going to get all of this done, I really don’t know.  But sleep is overrated, and family comes first.  I hope you’ll be patient with me as I tend to all these necessary (and fun) activities.

Oh, yes!  I’ll be back on Friday of this week with the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Team Hop.  See?  I told you this was going to be a busy week!

You’ll find a linked supply list below this post.

Wishing you all a joyful and creative week!  See you on Friday!

Peek A Boo Trellis Christmas Card Tutorial

Graphic 45 Warm Wishes Christmas Card Tutorial with Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Peek a Boo Trellis Die by Kathy Clement Kathy by Design Photo 01
Amazing Paper Grace Peek A Boo Trellis Christmas Card Tutorial with G45 Warm Wishes

Hello, Friends!  For today’s Make & Take Tuesday I’m sharing a Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Peek A Boo Trellis Christmas Card Tutorial. This lovely botanical die set is a great match for Graphic 45’s Warm Wishes paper collection.  I’m going to show you 2 different ways to use this versatile die.   Don’t forget to visit Becca’s blog for even more Peek A Boo Trellis inspiration. She has some truly gorgeous samples and tutorials waiting for you there.

Merry Christmas Cardinal

Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace Peek a Boo Trellis Graphic 45 Warm Wishes by Kathy ClementI love it when I can snuggle a focal image in with some pretty foliage.  So for this first card, I made small cuts in the leafy panel, then inserted my focal image into the panel.  That’s pretty much all it took to complete the card front.  The rest was just adding foliage, ribbons and flowers.

I made this one a box pocket card, tucked in some sweet Christmas treats.

Peppermint sticks, Christmas tea, a Christmas Cookie, honey stick and note card turn this into a lovely little gift.

Inlaid Peek a Boo Trellis Vines

The second card is really quick and easy to make!  This time, I cut a 5×7 panel from Warm Wishes Patterns and Solids.  Then I centered the Peek A Boo Trellis vines in the center of the panel and die cut.  Next, I die cut the reverse side of this same patterned paper and adhered it slightly off center behind the inlaid design.  Finally, I stitched the entire panel onto green cardstock.

This time I used the layered rose dies that come with the die set along with a bunch of foliage.  Burlap string, rusty jingle bells and vintage buttons give it a great rustic botanical feel.

The inside is simple with a gift card wallet/pocket combo and more of the pretty designer paper.
