Little Birdie Crafts Woodland Tales Tea Party in a Box

Hello, Friends! We’re celebrating the colors of autumn today with this Little Birdie Crafts Woodland Tales Tea Party in a Box project. If you’re a bird lover, or a lover of the rich copper and turquoise hues of fall, then I think you will enjoy this post.

I truly enjoy making these little flip folio designs. The 6×6 base is made from one 12×12 sheet of Woodland Tales designer paper. It’s so quick and easy to score and fold these folios! I share a simple tutorial for creating just the base of the project below.

Of course, Little Birdie thoughtfully created a flower collection that is perfectly color matched to the paper collection. Heat emboss and paint some of their lovely Primed Chipboard feathers and tuck them in with the floral cluster and string bow.

The flowers are beautiful straight out of the packaging, but I like to spatter them with paint, too.

Punch a hole in the spine, add a lobster clasp, string on some charms and you’ve got a really pretty bit of eye candy!

A Peek Inside

Create a slash pocket on the inside cover to hold photo mats and mini folios. The panel on the right is the perfect place to add a photo.

TIP: Score between a row of 3×4 images and fold to create a lovely little mini folio. You can journal on the front, then add photos on the back.

Turn the flap page to find a cute little tag pocket and a fun flip/flap page.

The flaps open in opposite directions to reveal a nice sized area for photos.

The central panel holds a box pocket filled to the brim with everything you might need to make a lovely little tea party for one. I’ve added a honey dipper, honey pouch, Chai tea, chocolate, cookies and a spoon. This is a great spot to store more photos or recipes once the tea party has been enjoyed.
