Tall and Skinny Botanical Butterfly Shaker Card

Simple Stories Vintage Garden District Shaker Card by Kathy Clement Kathy by Design for Really Reasonable Ribbon

Tall and Skinny Botanical Butterfly Shaker Card with Vintage Garden District

Hello, Friends!  This Tall and Skinny Botanical Butterfly Shaker Card combines everything I love in one lovely package.  Gorgeous Really Reasonable Ribbon, elegant die cuts, a shaker frame, flirty butterflies and fabulous florals make my heart go pitty pat!  The color palette of this Simple Stories Vintage Garden District Collection is a great match for RRR Red, Pink and Ivory Variegated Ribbon.

Score an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of paper on the long side at 4″, 5″, 9″ and 10″ to make this side fold box card base.  Then tuck in lots of lovely goodies to turn it into a gift.

Turn a 3″ x 4″ journal card into note card by matting it on cardstock.  Then tuck it into a pocket on the left hand side of the card.  Gift wrap a cookie, tea bag and chocolate with your designer paper to make them really special.  These fit in the box pocket along with a cute little demitasse spoon and a honey stick.

But wait!  There’s more!  Attach a velvet book mark to the top of the card with a teeny tiny clip.  Now this card is ready to party!

Sorry I am late to the garden party. I have a smile from ear-to-ear when looking at this lovely garden and all the wonderful butterflies who are drawn to it. I don’t know how you find just the right paper, embellishments and ephemera to make your lovely creations; but I am glad you have that special talent to create a beautiful vignette that brings joy to us. And I adore that gorgeous bookmark. It’s those special touches you create that make your compositions so special and eye catching. With all the garden themes you have motivated me to have a container garden on our side patio! Three containers done with more to come…

Beautiful! I love this paper collection. AND I have a bookmark fetish lol This one is so cute. Did you make it or? I’m kinda liking the new tall skinny cards that’s all the rage right now.

Love this. Really like the tall, skinny almost as much as the easel cards. Shaker, flowers beautiful. What a welcoming spring greeting. You always inspire.

What a gorgeous card, Kathy! If this doesn’t say “Spring” , nothing will. The butterflies and soft, dreamy colors really take me back to my Grandmother’s Sweet Pea garden. It was always full of pretty yellow butterflies. You always have such pretty shaker elements to compliment your flowers and ribbons. I like how you used that plaid paper at the bottom and the way you have layered everything. And what a nice touch that pretty bookmark is! Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
