Tee Time

Tee Time with Really Reasonable Ribbon and Graphic 45 Good Old Sport

Hello Friends!

Well, I have a new ribbon “crush”!  I found this fabby Emerald Green Tartan Plaid ribbon in the Really Reasonable Ribbon store and just had to add it to my stash.  This stuff is soooo pretty, feels like taffeta, and has a soft sheen. The emerald green, navy blue and cream stripes were the perfect color match for my Graphic 45 Good Old Sport papers, so I had a little play time and came up with this Tee Time card.

I love the rich vintage colors in this paper collection, and combined a slew of different patterns on the layers of this card.  Lots of stitching to add texture and detail, and everything is matted on black cardstock to ground the card and unify all those mixy matchy patterns.  Fussy cutting the fabulous female golfer was loads of fun…just like playing paper dolls.

RRR March 27 Good Old Sport 02I created a little bouquet from Red Cosmos Daisies, Red Center Sweetheart Blossoms, and Two-Tone Blue Sweetheart Blossoms.  I even managed to find an itty bitty green golf bag in my crafty stash and added it to the mix.  I inked the posies with Vintage Photo Distress ink to give them a bit of a vintage vibe.

Here’s a peeky at the inside of the card:

RRR March 27 Good Old Sport 05I can’t imagine doing anything athletic in this type of clothing, but it sure made for a fun card!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a great day today, and  a fabby weekend, too!  There’s still time to get in on the action in the RRR Bright Spring Colors Challenge, so get your craft on and come join the fun!

Cheerio,

kathy

I, too, was going to comment on the idea that only you would have a tiny golf bag in your stash, but I see several of your friends have already made that connection ;)! Your card is just beautiful and the ribbon – so lovely! I’m going to have to work a “browsing” online trip to RRR into my schedule soon.
