Things with Wings Challenge

Really Reasonable Ribbon Things with Wings Challenge

RRRChallengeBadge

Hello, Friends!  It’s time for a brand new challenge on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  All you have to do to play along is create a card, layout, canvas, home decor piece, or other creative goodie that uses ribbon, twine or trim and features something that has wings on it!  What fun!

Kathy by Design for Really Reasonable RibbonI love dragonflies because of their delicate, shimmery iridescent wings!  I dug into my crafty stash and pulled out my Graphic 45 Botanica Bella paper collection because of all the wonderful dragonfly images found there. This paper looks smashing when paired with luxurious ribbon from RRR!  I created a border at the bottom of my card with Rust Shimmer Satin Ribbon.  Gold metallic string was wrapped around it and then just above it, I added a stunning double loop bow made with Ivory, Rust and Gold Plaid Ribbon.  This was topped with a loopy gold metallic string bow and a beautiful dragonfly charm.  I added Diamond Stickles to the paper, the fussy cut flower and the dragonfly.

RRR Things with Wings 04I added lots of shimmer and shine with metal corner, gold embossing, and a gold foil die cut.

RRR Things with Wings 06I just love the way this ribbon ties all the elements of this card together!

RRR Things with Wings 07On the inside, I stamped a sentiment on a die cut shape, and layered it over another piece of the pretty paper.

My good friends over at the Frilly and Funkie Blog are hosting a “Touch of Gold Challenge” so I am linking this card up there.

And, I’m sharing this card at the WordArt Wednesday “Anything Goes” Challenge.

If you’d like to purchase this card, it’s available in my ETSY shop.

Thanks for stopping by!

Cheerio,

kathy

Another breath taking card, Kathy! I love dragonflies, too, but paired with all those gold touches just pushes this to the next level! Geeesh, everyone of your creations makes me sit and stare, finding new details around every corner! CONGRATULATIONS–another win at Frilly and Funkie, dear! Not that I’m counting or anything, but there seems to be a trend here! Well deserved, all the same! Hugs!
