RRR Anything Goes Challenge: Home Family Blessing Altered Frame and Greeting Card

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to another “anything goes with ribbon or trim” challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It’s always fun to update one’s home decor in the fall, so I’ve created a rustic Home Family Blessing Altered Frame and greeting card for you today.  Once again, I’ve used Simple Stories “Vintage Blessings” to complement my gorgeous Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This 8″ x 10″ frame was in a box at a local yard sale, waiting just for me!  It was chipped and worn, but had good bones.  For 50 cents, I decided it could come home with me and get a little makeover.

TIP:  Cover the glass portion of the frame with sticky notes to keep it clean.  This saved me so much time and trouble!

Home Is Where the Heart Is Greeting Card

The inside of the card has a side pocket with a little tag  and honey stick tucked inside.

Wow, such a stunning transformation! Where do you get all your amazing ideas!
I have a pretty plastic frame I picked up in a £ shop which has been gathering dust, now I know what to do with it! Thank you Kathy for sharing all your beautiful creations, you never cease to inspire me. My ‘crafty’ ladies are soooo pleased I found you – always new ideas to share with them now. Kathy Clement is a well known name in Norfolk!!

I’m in awe of what you’ve done with the old frame. What a great find! The framed sentiment is so beautiful. As always, your card is so inspiring. Your attention to so many little details–like the little belly band around the tea bag holder– keep me thinking creatively when I sit at my craft table. Thanks for sharing both these great projects.
