What a Wonderful World Bee Themed Card Folio for Really Reasonable Ribbon
Hello, Friends! It’s been a tough year hasn’t it? But there are still plenty of reasons to say to ourselves, “What a Wonderful World!” Flowers are still blooming, bees are still buzzing, the sky is still above us and the green grass is beneath our feet. We have our families and our friends to cheer us, and goodness all around us if we choose to see it.
My passion for creating has never been stronger than during these dark days. There’s something therapeutic and uplifting about creating beauty. I’m more thankful than ever for this gift God dropped into my lap, the lovely friends I’ve made thanks to papercrafting and the joy these add to my life. How about you?
Buzzing Bees, Blooming Flowers, and Beautiful Ribbon
This 5″ x 7″ x 1″ card folio is one of my famous “Tea Party in a Box” cards. Bees are a favorite theme, so I paired up some gorgeous bee images and designer papers from My Mind’s Eye Gingham Gardens with Silky Tan Satin with a Grosgrain Edge Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Top that bodacious bow with a little natural burlap string to keep things looking organic.
Lots of texture and dimension make this card extra special!
Layer in some banner flags and a grid die cut with the Spellbinders Amazing Paper Grace June Die of the Month. So many luscious layers!
A Peek Inside
Open the card to get the party started! Create a cuffed pocket to hold a trio of little tags.
Top the tags with pink burlap string and some pretty charms. Add stamped sentiments, a bee stamp and fussy cut bees to keep with the card theme.
The large box pocket holds a handmade bookmark topped with more ribbon and a key charm. Tuck in a vintage silver demitasse spoon, honey stick, and other treats to create a party in a box.
And of course there has to be tea! Just for fun, I’ve tucked in a little wooden honey dipper. Isn’t it cute?
Like all of you, I’ve had my ups and downs during the course of this year. I have made a real effort to focus on gratitude and good thoughts. That seems to keep things “humming” along! My prayer for each of you is that you will experience joy today…and every day!
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheerio,
kathy

Hi Kathy, yes my card crafting has really helped during this pandemic and unrest in our world, sometimes making cards for friends that need A lift in spirits. When you said that you thank God for giving you that crafting gift, I remembered thinking that too & plan to mention that to people when I get a compliment for a card I sent. My sister and I always repeat a statement from the movie “About Schmidt” that Kathy B. said “we’re a very creative family!” LOL! Loved the bee card a lot!
This is beautiful and you know I like the bee theme. Crafting keeps me grounded too.
Thanks for sharing this delightful “bee” themed tea party, Kathy. What you’ve said about the joys of having crafty friends is so true. It makes this party in a box a true celebration. With some of my crafting friends having a difficult time right now, creating a project like this one to send them, might be just the thing. tfs-stay well.
I am very greatful, as well, for my crafting and because it has led me to create a few, very special friendships such as the one with you. I feel that we are connected in many ways and I love that!!!
Your card is so beautiful and delightful with all of that yumminess that you put in. Thank you for your prayers for all of us. I pray that you stay positive and crafty and that God give you loads of blessings!!! Hugs xo

Your cards are so jam packed with yumminess. I love them all, but as you know I do love my bees. This is just so full of stuff, full! Your mind is amazing!
Everyone is buzzing with creative joy over this bee-utiful project! I’ve just received a new stamp set featuring words and phrases for BEE themed projects. I’m making a beeline to my paper storage area (very unsophisticated stacks on the floor) to find my bee paper collection. Your well thought out narrative brings wonderful images to life. Thank you!
I just love this card Kathy! What a wonderful creation! I couldn’t agree with you more about how uplifting creating things like this these days has been! And I thank God for the creative gift He’s given me too. Happy crafting my friend! Hugs 🙂
Another gorgeous Bee-themed card/folio – Love all the embellishments, and that yellow and black button on the front really pops – great card!!
Winnie the Pooh is jumping for joy when he saw this. We both adored every aspect from that gorgeous button to the honey dipper (Mr. Pooh’s favorite!). Those tags and embellishments, especially the honey-toned jewel, are perfection, as your embellishments always are. But is the prayer for all of us that is so special – Thank you and may you have such a blessed and happy year!
Kathy, this is one of the sweetest bee themed card/folios ever! That paper collection is just lovely and makes a beautiful background for all of those pretty flowers, ribbons and buttons. Speaking of buttons, that gingham button on the front is awesome! It’s bee colors! Every detail is perfect and as usual the inside is full of such sweet surprises. Thank you for sharing! Hugs!
Good morning Kathy. Love the card, love the bees, I just love it all. Have a great day, stay safe & TYFS
So pretty and happy. We appreciate you Kathy and always praying for you as well. ((hugs))
Such a delightful and happy card! Daylight is just beginning and the trees are full of chirping birds! Nice way to begin the day! Thanks Kathy!
