Wonderful Wednesday Pop Up Cards Tutorial with Prima Home Baker, G45 Season to Celebrate & Reneabouquets
Hello, Friends! Welcome to our Wonderful Wednesday Pop Up Cards Tutorial! This is another “Choose Your Own Adventure” tutorial featuring two lovely cards made from the same “recipe.” Today we’re featuring Prima Home Baker and Graphic 45 Season to Celebrate Spring papers. The icing on top is paper pretties from Reneabouquets. Sound like fun? Let’s get started!
Prima Home Baker Mason Jar Pop Up Card
Our first adventure takes place with our beloved Prima Marketing The Home Baker Collection. To make the collaged embellishment on the cover, I fussy cut elements from the 12×12 paper sheet. Then I added some ephemera pieces to fill it out. Topped with a pretty Reneabouquets sugar bowl, Idea-Ology Baroque Frame, chipboard title and a sweet little spoon, it’s a great way to use up those bits and pieces of fussy cut elements.
For texture, stitch around the 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ panel of cookbook paper. Then add layered ribbon and lace, mulberry flowers, and pretty bows. I love the dimension and texture on this card. How about you?
A Peek Inside
Today’s tutorial will also show you how to make this quick and easy pop up box inside your card. It’s such a fun surprise to open the card and find this sweet Mason Jar Mousie waiting inside!
This tutorial also has some great tips for using up scraps, so you’ll want to be sure to check it out.
Card Adventure #2: Graphic 45 Season to Celebrate Spring Teapot
Isn’t it amazing how changing up the papers can totally change up a card recipe? Our Graphic 45 Season to Celebrate card follows the same basic design as our Home Baker card. We will construct both cards together in today’s video tutorial.
Reneabouquets lace trim provides lovely texture. April in Paris Beautiful Board work so well with this floral collection, too. I pulled ribbon, flowers and buttons from my stash to complete this card front.
The Pop Up Element
This time, we built our pop up element on the left hand side of the card. Doing this gave us room to add a slash pocket and journal card on the right.
You can find the card “recipe” in the description box below my YouTube Video.

Love the pop outs, pop ups, in fact wherever they pop! The construction techniques you present are so easy to follow. Having been gifted some g45 papers etc the first thing I did was a pop up Kathy style using autumn greetings. Thanks very much indeed for sharing these cards, both are delightful and demonstrate how to change this or that for a different look. Love it!
So fun to visit your site, love the layered one. Will check in to see the video!
Thank you for another great tutorial! It’s amazing how you can turn scraps of paper into something beautiful-both cards are fantastic. The Graphic 45 card will be great for my sisters March birthday!
