Word Art Wednesday Guest Designer: Stir Up a Little Love!
Hello, Friends!
I’m super excited about today’s post, as I am honored to be the Word Art Wednesday Guest Designer this week. My fellow Really Reasonable Ribbon teammate and friend, Karen Letchworth, invited me to share a little Crafty Secrets goodness using this week’s Word Art:
I created this 5″ x7″ top fold card using papers from the Crafty Secrets Kitchen Memories digital kit, and some cute papers from the Homemade Vintage Image and Journal Booklet. The Word for this week is from Proverbs 10: 12, “Hatred stirreth up strife, but Love covereth all sins.” These two cutie pies look as though they could be stirring up some fun in the kitchen, don’t they?
I cut apart two sheets from the journaling booklet, and treated the photograph of these junior chefs with a dose of UTEE. It gave the paper a great vintage photo look. The chipboard heart, also from Crafty Secrets. was covered with paper and a bit of glossy accents. I fussy cut the veggies and shopping list paper from the Homemade Booklet as well. I layered this all up with yummy black and red gingham ribbons, a black brad and a couple cute buttons. Quick and easy and very vintage with this classic red, black and cream color palette.
If you haven’t played along at Word Art Wednesday, I encourage you to do so! They are a sweet bunch of ladies, and they offer some wonderful prizes each week. You can choose to work with their free word art of the week, or you can just play along in the challenge under the “anything goes” option. Either way, it’s a ton of fun! Just link up your project on their blog.
Thanks, Karen and company, for inviting me to serve as your guest designer this week! I love playing along in your challenges, and I am deeply honored to be your Guest Designer this week!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Kathy what an adorable twosome these cuties are. You can just imagine the giggles, fun and mess letting these two free in the kitchen. Love the collage of vegetables you have done and the ribbons are lovely to. X
Ohhh Kathy! This is absolutely darling. The colours, the pictures, the patterns … all so well chosen and together they make magic. Or rather … they help YOU make the magic.
Love it. ~ Cobs. x
Hi Kathy!! It’s been a while since I have left a comment but that doesn’t mean that I have not stopped by to see your lovely work. This sweet card is darling. I love the vi rage feel of the card. The photograph is so adorable and I love how you have collaged the ephemera, the die cut edging, the sentiment and the sewn background. It is all just so so perfect. <3 Candy
Congrats on the guest designer spot Kathy! This is just adorable and I love the design with all the layers and dimension! FABULOUS as always!
No matter what you have got on in your life, you couldn’t help but look at this and smile. Thank you xx Jen
This is so sweet, Kathy! The little cooks are adorable, and that little chef’s hat button… too cute! Where ever do you find such things? I enjoy linking my cards up to WAW. Karen has such a big heart to share God’s Word. Congrats on your guest design spot.
