WOW As Many as You Can Card Challenge Tutorial

WOW As Many as You Can Card Challenge Tutorial with Paper Rose Words of Wisdom
A “Use Your Scraps” Project

Hello, Friends!  Welcome to a Wonderful Wednesday As Many as You Can Card Challenge Tutorial.  We are going to have so much fun using up our beautiful bits and pieces of  the Paper Rose Words of Wisdom collection.  We will be creating 4 greeting cards using only our designer paper scraps, cardstock from my stash, and gorgeous Reneabouquets paper pretties.

Lately, I’ve been on a mission to “use up” the collection I’m working with instead of stashing it away in the Closet of Inspiration (formerly known as “The Closet of Shame”).  Why let those precious bits and pieces languish in the dark when you can use them to make tags and greeting cards?

So that is our mission for today.  Are you ready to get started?

Do Everything with Love Cut Away Card with Pop Out Box

Our first project is this gorgeous cut away shaker card featuring printed Beautiful Board from Reneabouquets.  Even the card base is made from scraps!  There’s a really sweet pop out box/gift card wallet hidden on the inside.  You’ll want to add this card design to your card making toolbox for sure.

Butterflies and Fairy Cut Away Shaker Card

Blue and yellow has to be one of my favorite color palettes for spring and summer card making.  It’s like looking at golden sunshine in a crystal blue sky, isn’ t it?

This square cut away card base is also made with scraps.  I sure do love clearing scraps off my work space instead of letting them pile up, don’t you?

Once again, I’ve featured Reneabouquets flowers and beautiful board on this shaker frame.  It’s a great way to create a “finished” card when you are running low on journal cards or focal images.

Bluebirds and Dragonflies Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are in the category of “I hope I don’t have to make one”.  But when you do, you want it to be really special.  Even though I’ve used the same blue and yellow color palette here, the card still has a feeling of peace and serenity.  The smaller patterns from the 6×6 pad and the simple shaker frame contribute to that.

Botanical Birdies

What is it about sweet wee birds that always makes me happy?  This printed Beautiful Board image from Reneabouquets is one of my all-time favorites.  I’m excited to share the sneaky little tricks I used to turn “not enough paper” into a beautifully layered card front.  It’s one you’ll want to add to your toolbox for sure.

I really enjoyed the range of colours you used, making each card individual, and the embellishments completed them beautifully. Loved the layering and dimension too considering they were all made from leftovers. The next art session here will be working with distress inks sprays paints and techniques, some time out to just play. Finally materials have been ordered for the renovations, just like cardmaking it has been measure, measure again, check with us, measure again……they are being very thorough. It is typically autumn here with birds about, blooms in the garden, the plants recovering from the summer heat and growing with the constant rain showers, all good! Thanks for sharing Kathy, there is always something that catches my eye with your videos.

I always enjoy watching how you use up your scrap paper pieces. I’m sure we are all are in the same boat when it comes to having so many leftovers from a paper collection. Your cards are lovely and thank you for the tutorial.
