Yuletide Christmas Banner Tutorial

Wonderful Wednesday Simple Stories Yuletide Christmas Banner Tutorial with Reneabouquets

Hello, Friends!  If you love traditional Christmas home decor, then this Yuletide Christmas Banner Tutorial will hopefully make you very happy.  It’s our Wonderful Wednesday project for this 2nd week in October, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

Handmade flowers, vintage lace and buttons, gorgeous Reneabouquets Beautiful Board and pretty papers come together seamlessly in this 7 pennant banner.  Once again I’ve used 3 different dies to create the pennants, then I stitched them onto red ticking material to add some vintage texture.

Nothing says “Christmas” to me more than red poinsettias.  You’ll learn how to make the ones you see on this banner in this month’s Flower of the Month Tutorial.  I’ll show you how to layer all these elements together in today’s tutorial.

Graphic 45 Tag & Pocket Die

Y’all know I’m always looking for an “outside the box” way to use my dies.  As it turns out, the Graphic 45 Tag and Pocket Die makes a gorgeous shaped banner pennant!  Simply die cut as usual, then trim off the side tabs.  Then dress it up with paper pretties like these vintage Reneabouquets skaters, flowers , laser cut snowflakes and layered papers.

The Shaker Element

Dress up a Reneabouquets Printed Beautiful Board Wreath with tiny poinsettias and jingle bells to really make it shine!  It’s so easy to do, and it makes the banner really sparkle.

This is such a gorgeous piece to display for Christmas!! I love that you use the traditional colors for so many of your Christmas projects, it just really reminds me of Christmas. The new colors are pretty, but do not seem like Christmas to me. I guess I am just a traditional girl at heart 🙂

Oooh those handmade blooms are perfect. Love the way you added the chippies behind the buttons, they add that extra dimension and texture. This banner is beautiful in every way and reflects the traditions and glory of Christmas time. Glad to hear you are all well Kathy.
