Blue Fern Studios Yuletide Interactive Christmas Folio for the RRR November 2022 Blog Hop

Hello, Friends!  This Yuletide Interactive Christmas Folio is my inspiration project for the Really Reasonable Ribbon November 2022 Blog Hop.  Welcome to the hop!  You should be coming here from Gloria’s lovely blog.

This month we are featuring the elegant Precious Metals Ribbons from the November 2022 Ribbon Club Assortment.  Look how gorgeous they are!

Golden Ribbons

Old Gold Checkerboard Satin makes a great ribbon closure on my 6 3/4″ folio. Checkerboard Satin is one of my favorite ribbon styles because it is so soft and elegant.  The subtle pattern in the ribbon adds texture, which is always nice.  Adhere your ribbon with 1/2″ Scor-Tape for the win!  Christmas Baker’s Twine makes the perfect accent beneath my flowers and on the ends of my metal embellishments, too.

TIP: Decorate the spine of your folio with a dangle charm.  Attach a key ring to the spine with the 3/8″ Gold Satin with a Gold Metallic Edge from the Ribbon Club Assortment.  I love the way the rusty bells jingle when the album is moved.  It adds that “extra special” Christmas feeling.

A Peek Inside

Here’s a peek inside this Victorian styled folio.  There are so many interactive elements that I had to make a video to show them all with you.

I love the way the Old Gold Ribbon and the Gold edged papers work together to create a wonderful vintage vibe.

Definitely a masterpiece Kathy. I need to watch the video a few times to take it all in! Your folio is beautifully designed, with focal points and wonderful embellies to add interest and texture. It is one of those projects that keeps on giving, everytime one looks through the folio something new catches the eye. Super creativity indeed!

This folio is really stunning Kathy! Those wonderful, traditional colors paired with the textures of the ribbons and strings are perfect. The jingle bells and dangles really grab the eye, and those tweet little birds inside the frame are just so sweetly beautiful. You have done it again, another masterpiece!!

Absolutely stunning and goes to show you don’t have to use Christmas themed ribbon to create an amazing Christmas themed folio!

How long does it take you to make one of these beauties??! Page after page is just exquisite with so many pretty details. I am totally in love with this month’s ribbon assortment. It is so very different with the monochromatic colors. And you have done it justice using the gold. Gorgeous!!

What a beautiful album – love the closure, in the way you have taken the ribbon right around the cover, and the addition of the wee bells is intriguing – and inspiring. A gorgeous vintage result

The photo of this ribbon collection is deceptive…looks like wonderfully warm tones and shades of tan and brown. I was surprised to see gold in your still photos…beautiful ribbon!! Ink edge distressing looks perfect on this paper collection. Love how you’ve used the larger images…I always struggle with figuring out how to use them. Gorgeous spine treatment! Oh! Do I see white bells on the cover? This folio would have to go to someone very special, indeed!

Oh my goodness Kathy! I just adore this collection and can’t get enough of it either! Now this folio shows them off perfectly! I just might cut into them and try and make myself one! And those Really Reasonable Ribbons just go perfectly with them. Those ribbons are just gorgeous! Especially with these papers! Thanks for another gorgeous, gorgeous folio! And luv those beautiful charms, especially the ice skate and those rusty jingle bells just finish it off! Big hugs, Suzy Q

I am so glad you have used this lovely paper again – I cannot get enough of it❣️ This folio is everything you want it to be. It is not only pleasing to the eye (absolutely gorgeous), full of page turning surprise’s, embellishments galore and evokes such pleasant memories of the past but it is also such a wonderful way to save those cherished holiday pictorial memories. You have achieved yet another project extraordinaire (did anyone think otherwise…)!!! Besides the visual enjoyments you have provided jingle bells and the lovely video music. Only two senses left to awaken for me today – smell and taste, which I will provide now with some aromatic tea and something sweet to go with this sweet folio. Another wonderful morning spent in Kathy’s kingdom…
