Easiest Kinetic Waterfall Tutorial Ever: Part 3 of 5 Prima Cherry Sweet Shabby Chic Folio Project
Hello, Friends and Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday! Today I’m going to share the easiest kinetic waterfall tutorial ever! I love a good waterfall element, and kinetic waterfalls are extra-special. But they can feel a little daunting to make.
Would you like to know the secret for making a super easy (and foolproof!) kinetic waterfall? Then I hope you’ll join me for Part 3 of 5 in our Prima Cherry Sweet Shabby Chic Folio project.
The kinetic waterfall is just one of the fun features in today’s video. I’ll also show you how to make a really neat pop up pocket feature as well as my quick and easy method for making a double slash pocket. Today’s tutorial is loaded, so let’s get this paper party started!
Pop Up Pockets for the Win!
we’re working on the left hand panel of our folio today. It is loaded with fun features and shabby chic details.
Take this darling little pocket, for example. It’s filled to the brim with sweet tags, tickets and even a mini folio.
But lift the pocket flap and you’ll find a sweet mini pop up element. Isn’t that fun?
Double Slash Pocket
If you’ve been intimidated at the thought of making a slash pocket, you’re going to love the simple method I share in the tutorial today.
Look at all the goodies tucked inside! Did you ever think of upcycling product packaging to make a pretty tag or two? That’s exactly what I did here. A couple of simple steps transforms the ephemera package inserts into shabby chic photo tags.

If you’d like to join me as I share the simple steps for creating this interactive page unit, then please grab a cuppa and a snack and enjoy this video tutorial on my YouTube channel.
I hope you’re having as much fun creating your folio as I had creating mine!
I’m still recovering from my hip replacement surgery, so I’m not “really” here. I’ve pre-recorded and scheduled each tutorial for this project. I plan to be back “live” after the first or second week in February. But you won’t miss a single Wonderful Wednesday while I’m gone. It may take me a little longer to respond to your comments, but y’all know I’ll get back to you asap.
You can find a linked supply list below this post. I’ve also tagged products within the video tutorial for your shopping convenience.
Thanks so much for stopping by, friends!
Cheerio,
kathy

Where can I find the waterfall video? I can’t find it on YouTube
It is in the video tutorial, Tammy. You should be able to click on the video in this blog post and watch it. Happy crafting!
You certainly know how to create beautiful, interesting books Kathy. Using the tags to create a waterfall is such a great idea! I have have been enjoying this series as much as ever and are thankful you recorded ahead. You are so, so, thoughtful indeed. There has been a few days where turning on the air-conditioner and having time at the desk has been the only option this month, especially as it has been humid. Such is life on the coast in summer. I guess you are moving around a bit more each day and hope you haven’t been getting too many creative withdrawal symptoms as you heal!
Thank you for today’s tutorial, they are always inspiring. Thank you also for your thoughtfulness of posting the videos in advance of your surgery and recovery. I hope all is going well for you!
