Pumpkins and Acorns and Deer Mixed Media Tea Party in a Box with Spellbinders & G45

Hello, Friends!  Today is all about Pumpkins and Acorns and Deer, oh my!  I’ve created a sweet little Tea Party in a Box Card featuring Spellbinders September 2024 3D Embossing Folder, Clear Stamp and Die of the Month and Wax Seal of the Month.  Pair this lovely trio up with Graphic 45 Autumn Greetings Papers and you’ve got a party on paper!  I can’t wait to share some tips and techniques with you!

Embossed Pumpkins

  • First,  spritz a 5″ x 7″ panel of kraft cardstock lightly with water. Place this panel on the bottom half of the Pumpkin Patch 3D Embossing Folder from Spellbinders.  This is the September Club selection.  You can become a member when you sign up between now and September 27th.  Learn more HERE.
  • Next, rub the top half of the folder with Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink.  Close the folder and run through your die cutting system.
  • Trim the panel to 4 3/4″ x 6 3/4″ so it will fit the front of a 5″ x 7″ card base.
  • Now stamp the Autumn Wishes Clear Stamp of the Month onto a panel of kraft cardstock with Versamark ink.  Heat emboss with opaque white embossing powder and cut out with the matching die.
  • Tear a strip of G45 Autumn Greetings leaf pattern and back with foam tape.  Adhere on the left hand side of the card front.
  • Wrap the card front with the ribbon of your choice.
  • Now layer the elements onto the card front and mat on a 4 7/8″ x 6 7/8″ panel of jewel tone glitter cardstock.
  • Create the leaf wax seal using the Falling Leaves stamp and the Fall Wax Beads.
  • Accent the card with crystal gems, twine and a button.
A Peek Inside

Use the other piece of torn designer paper to create a pocket inside the top of the card. Then tuck in a 6×4 Journal Card where you can write a note.

Fill the box pocket on the bottom with a lot of goodies.  (You can learn how to create a box pocket HERE.)  I added a Vanilla Chai Tea Bag wrapped in a scrap of designer paper, a magnet that I stitched together, a small pack of butter cream candies, Biscoff Cookies, honey stick and a spoon to go with the tea bag.  Then I added another journal card that can be used as a bookmark, if desired.

Spellbinder Club Kit Memberships are open now through the 27th of the month.  You can join without paying any membership fees and you can cancel at any time without penalties.  Being a member will  also save a few pennies on your products when you become a member, which is very nice, indeed.

You can find a linked supply list below this post.

Thanks for stopping by, friends!

The deer just pops and is the perfect focal point for a warm, autumnal card filled with delights and sentiments. I can imagine the leaves falling and hear the rustling of drying leaves as the deer moves around. You really have set the scene with this gorgeous folio. I really do love the seal, the way you have introduced the colour on the tiny leaves, makes it unique. Well done Kathy.

I love the colors of Fall…so warm and pleasing. White ink works well on kraft. Have you tried bleach painting on kraft? I always enjoy seeing your tea party projects…definitely inspires me to tuck in a color matched tea packet. Lovely card!
