Stamperia Whispering Woods Pop Up Book Tutorial 5: Pop Out Boxes and Flip Up Pages
Hello, Friends! I think you are going to enjoy this Stamperia Whispering Woods Pop Up Book Tutorial 5! Can we really be on tutorial 5 already? This month has gone so fast! But today’s pop up is a sweet and simple pop out box that I know you’re going to love. No muss, no fuss, and comes together in a jiffy!
This is a great pop up element for any turn page. This one is located between this flap page element. It’s the first page in Signature 4.
Flip Up Pages
Have you ever wondered how to make a 12×12 page fit into a 6″ x 8″ space? Would you like to learn how to keep those gorgeous, scenic page layouts in one piece? I’m going to show you how to do just that in Signature 4.
Hidden Side Pocket
Sometimes an image is so beautiful, you don’t have to do a single thing to it. That’s how I feel about this precious scholarly fairy. So I just matted her on Cocoa Bean Cardstock and called it a day.
Quick and Easy Faux Windowpane Effect
Here’s a neat trick for creating a faux windowpane effect.
- First, cut out a panel of (4) 3×4 journal cards as one piece.
- Next, cut out some 1/4″ x 12″ strips of patterned paper.
- Place the strips between both the horizontal images and the vertical images.
- Now add a focal image in the center of the page.
Easy peasy!

A super finishing signature indeed. I have really enjoyed every video and like others look forward to seeing the cover completed. As my late mother inlaw used to say ‘aging is not for the faint hearted’. It helps to accept what life throws at one in the later years! Thanks for your continuing time and effort to share your creativity.
Hi Kathy, I’ve really enjoyed this pop-up book series. I’m a long time “listener/reader” and have been keen to make this book (gathered materials and started page one). I did have a question though about whether it could be modified so as to add photos (making it work as an album/book). I have a few ideas on how to do this but wondered about your suggestions.
Thanks for any thoughts you might have.
Elizabeth
The pop up book is fantastic-can’t wait to see the next video for the cover! Looking forward to seeing the collection for next month. Thank you!
