Loaded Pocket Easel Card Tutorial with Ciao Bella Timeless Moments & G45 Season to Celebrate
Hello, Friends! If you love easel cards, then I think you’re going to love this Loaded Pocket Easel Card Tutorial. A simple twist in the basic design allows you to take this well-loved card base to a whole new level.
Because it’s another “Choose Your Own Adventure” Wonderful Wednesday, we’re working with two beautiful paper collections. Both loaded pocket easel cards are the same size and follow the same card recipe. For those who love bright bold colors, we have Graphic 45 Season to Celebrate on the table. If, like me, you love a shabby chic vibe, we’ll be working with Ciao Bella Timeless Moments. And of course, you can always follow along using your own favorite paper collection.
Graphic 45 Season to Celebrate
Do you recognize the teapot on the cover of the G45 card? Yes, it’s the same Anna Griffin teapot that we used earlier this month. This time, I die cut it without the box and turned it into a lovely focal image. Don’t you just love a versatile die?
Tuck the May journal cards in the loaded pocket. Then create a cute rosette lollipop to keep it company. Dress up a honey stick with a little banner flag and add it to the mix. Pretty mulberry flowers in shades of pink come from Reneabouquets.
Why do we need a honey stick? To sweeten the tea that’s tucked inside a lacy little tea wallet, that’s why! Double pockets make me happy!
Ciao Bella Timeless Moments Loaded Pocket Easel Card
Our second card is so sweet and shabby chic with stacked teacups, a shaker clock window, more pink posies and another lacy border. This is my favorite. Which one do you like best?
I did change the design up just a tad by adding a bookmark to the loaded pocket. But everything else is the same as the first card.
Do you like the addition of lace panels on these cards? I found a whole stash of lace when I cleaned out my ribbon drawers recently, and I’m having lots of fun using it!

As the saying goes, it is all in the details! Another Kathy hint to use twine around the outside of the foam tape on the shaker element, what a super idea. Your pieces show just how verstile an easel card can be. I really enjoyed watching the video and seeing the results of colour, texture and design, love it Kathy! It is really autumn here and at last we have a few days of fine weather where the paper and card is nice and dry ready to be creative. Art time with a newly widowed dear friend in June is looming and yes of course we will create wonderful pieces with many of your ideas, yeee hah!
Gorgeous as always . Love the front pocket addition to the easel card
Good morning

Both cards are beautiful although my favorite is the Ciao Bella Timeless Moments card. Love the lace and esp. the tea bag! Actually I love all the elements! Thank you so much for sharing.
